The Cairo – Alexandria excursion by bus from Sharm El Sheikh is a great opportunity to see the largest and most famous cities in Egypt, as it will allow you to see the foundation of an ancient civilization and its landmarks.
The trip lasts for two days.
The Cairo – Alexandria excursion , During which you will visit in Cairo, the oldest and largest historical monuments in the world – the pyramids – which rise to the sky in the yellow desert. We will also go on a trip to the majestic Nile River.
Then we will visit the main repository of all the antiquities of this country – the Egyptian National Museum – dedicated to the history of Egypt, and you will also visit the most famous places in Alexandria. You will see Qitbay Castle, which is located above the eastern port of Alexandria. It is a fortress with circular towers and ports overlooking the sea. The fort was built in the fifteenth century by Sultan Sharaf on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, which collapsed during an earthquake.
You will also visit Montazah Park, which is the residence of Egyptian kings. This beautiful park covers an area of about 150 hectares and is planted with palm trees, Mediterranean pine, and other coniferous trees. There are many flower beds and gazebos – the park is a popular tourist destination.
You will also visit the largest and most beautiful mosque in Alexandria, Abu Al Abbas.
And of course you will see the famous Library of Alexandria, where any curious traveler and tourist will discover a lot of new things!
The Cairo – Alexandria excursion programe:
At around 4.30 am, a comfortable, air-conditioned bus will pick you up from your hotel.
(The Cairo – Alexandria excursion will take about 6 hours (the time may be a little longer because we will need to pass through a police checkpoint in front of the tunnel).
In three hours we’ll stop. For the opportunity to have a snack and use the toilet (there is a toilet on the bus that can be used throughout the journey).
Day 1 – Cairo:
We will arrive in Cairo at around 9:00 am. First, we will go to the Egyptian National Museum, where a large number of Egyptian artifacts are located. The museum consists of more than one hundred halls containing unique exhibits about five thousand years old. Unique manuscripts, manuscripts, and household items more than 5 thousand years old, statues of the most famous pharaohs such as Khufu, Khafre, Mikerin, Hatshepsut, and many others, you will see on a tour of the museum.
After visiting the museum, those who wish can take a tour along the largest river in the world, the Nile River (this trip is not included in the trip price and will be paid additionally)
Afterwards, you will have a delicious lunch at a local buffet restaurant (drinks not included).
After lunch in the restaurant, you will go to the Egyptian identification card – the pyramids.
You should know that there are more than 100 pyramids in Egypt, but the most famous of them are the Pyramids of Giza, which are considered the Seven Wonders of the World, as well as the legendary Sphinx, which attracted and still attract the thoughts and eyes of millions of people from different continents of the planet.
We will also stop at the Papyrus Museum, where they will tell and show you how papyrus was made in ancient times or an oil factory, where you can buy high-quality oil not only for yourself, but also for your family and friends.
After a fun and hard day, we will go to a hotel, where you will have a delicious and satisfying dinner, as well as a restful sleep.
Day 2 – Alexandria:
Early in the morning (around 6.00) breakfast awaits us, and once again we will hit the road leading to the coastal cultural city of Egypt, Alexandria!
In Alexandria, we will visit places such as Qitbay Castle, which is located above the eastern port of Alexandria. It is a fortress with circular towers and loopholes overlooking the sea. The fort was built in the fifteenth century by Sultan Al-Ashraf on the site of the Alexandria Lighthouse, which collapsed during the famous ancient Alexandria earthquake.
We will visit Montazah Park, which houses the residence of Egyptian kings. Its area is about 150 hectares planted with palm trees, Mediterranean pine and other conifers – Montazah is a popular tourist destination.
At the end of our two-day trip we will visit the largest and most beautiful mosque in Alexandria, Abu Abbas Mosque, and the famous Library of Alexandria (exterior view).
Lunch at a local restaurant.
At the end of the trip Cairo and Alexandria from Sharm El Sheikh – way back to Sharm and around midnight you will be at your hotel.
