Petra Excursion from Sharm Elsheikh is One of the most exciting historical trips that you will experience in your life 

Petra is carved with  greatness and creativity in the Pink Musa Valley, and for this reason it was called “The Pink City”.

The city of Petra is located in the Petra District of the Ma’an Governorate, 225 kilometers south of the Jordanian capital Amman, and to the west of the desert road that connects Amman with the city of Aqaba on the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba.

The brigade is located on the western side of the city of Ma’an, the governorate center, and is 36 km away from it. It is located along the Sharah mountain range, overlooking Wadi Araba, and its geographical nature, sloping and surrounded by mountains.

The area of the brigade is 900 km2, while the area of the archaeological reserve is 264 km2. Petra is considered one of the regions of this district, and its center is the city of Wadi Musa.

We can reach it by car, but then we will have to walk between the sides of a huge city carved into the rock, hidden behind an impenetrable barrier of barely porous mountains called the Siq.

Excursion program

we will pick you up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh around 01:30 am

And will take you  to Nuweiba Marine, stopping along the way in Dahab, Nuweiba to collect other guests, and takes you to the ferry crossing.

After passing the border with Jordan, take a bus to the ancient stone city of Petra.
will start the tour on foot, though the Canyon( the Siq ),, you walk through the mountain canyon,over 1 kilometer in length. Beautiful sandstone formations of Petra

As you come to the end of this beautiful Canyon, a very narrow opening offers a view to one of the most spectacular sites in Petra – the treasury.

After the visit to the treasury we will visit the Roman theater the Royal tombs , which were excellent engineers with amazing skill and craft.

then we shall have lunch at the city center.

After that, we continue the wonderful tour to the hill of Al-Habis Castle, Petra, which dates back to the time of the Crusaders, for a breathtaking view of the deep canyons and rock formations of unique colors.

We will drive back to Aqaba where you will have one hour free time

Then take your boat back to Nuweiba Marine then back to Sharm El Sheikh by bus arriving after midnight and you will be transferred back to your hotel.
